Healthy Lives – Living Well (3 hours)

Health is generally defined as being a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing. Whilst we may not always experience complete wellbeing in these areas throughout our lives, we can look at how we live on a day-to-day basis to see whether changes can be made to make our lives healthier. It’s never too late to change  by establishing good habits now you will continue to reap the benefits.

This course will provide learners with information on the main lifestyle behaviours diet, physical activity, smoking and alcohol consumption.

Learning outcomes are:

•             Understand the impact upon health of our lifestyle choices

•             Identify how to have a healthy diet

•             Understand the importance of exercise and how to undertake it

•             Understand the benefits of not smoking

•             Consider the impact of alcohol consumption on health and wellbeing

•             Understand the importance of relaxation

Please see the “How to Book” section of our booking website  which states that “If you do not attend and have not informed us at least 2 working days prior to the session a charge of £25.00 will be made”.

Please note lunch is not provided so you will need to make your own arrangements for lunch. 

Also please be aware some venues charge for car parking.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel courses. Reasons for this may be, but not restricted to, low enrolment numbers, weather warnings and tutor availability.

We may be required to cancel an individual class at short notice. Wherever possible we will endeavour to offer the class at a later date.
